River Tam
River Tam
River Tam is a fictional character of the Firefly franchise.
During River's early childhood, she grew up alongside her brother, Simon, part of the wealthy Tam family on the "core" planet of Osiris. She was graceful and intellectually gifted. She is described as having a strong thirst for knowledge and a love for and intuitive grasp of dance. By the time she was fourteen years old, she had grown "bored" with her studies and enrolled in a graduate program for physics.

- This model may be available in different sizes to suit your individual needs. If you need a model in a size other than what is offered, please contact us and we can discuss your options.
- This model may come in separate pieces and require assembly. We recommend using cyanoacrylate glue or 5 minute epoxy to assemble. We use Starbond Medium Cyanoacrylate. For added strength, pins can be used to assist in connecting some of the parts together. Gap filler can be used to fill any gaps and smooth out connection seams. A good product for this is Green Stuff Sculpting Putty.
- Resin printing requires the use of supports. We remove the supports and clean up the support marks from the model, prior to performing the final cure. While we strive to remove and smooth out all artifacts from the supports used for printing, however, there may be some artifacts that we miss. A little light cleaning/sanding should easily take care of any remaining marks.
- Models are made to order, we have a 1-2 week processing time. This time helps ensure we do not rush and provide the highest quality product.

Overall quality was good. The bazooka and base was warped on the Tank Girl print. Gonna try warm water to straighten it out. Very good details. The gaps on the River Tam print were more than I'm used to. I ordered 5 more prints. I'm hoping they are a little better than these two.
Excellent likeness of Summer Glau! But I sanded off the strange ridge on her chin that looked like a helmet strap. The arms-to-torso joints leave gaps that need careful filling - easier on the 1/6 kit than the 1/10, which I botched.
I'm working on her right now, trying to get the right skin tones. Going to look great on my shelf of dangerous women.
